Nextrank vs Ahrefs
Ahrefs earned its reputation by crawling the web itself. If link building is your job, there is no substitute and this page won't pretend otherwise. Its keyword and rank-tracking tools are strong too. Agent access (MCP) comes with Lite and up, from $129 a month, and draws on the plan's monthly API units.
What Ahrefs does better
- Their own web crawler and some of the best backlink data anyone sells
- Site Explorer, for sizing up any domain in depth
- Content Explorer and a deep, well-maintained keyword index
- More projects and tracked keywords per plan once you're on Lite or above
- Excellent free tools and genuinely good educational content
What Nextrank does better
- Agent access on every plan, including Free. Ahrefs starts it at Lite ($129/mo)
- More people per plan: 2 on Starter, 5 on Pro, 15 on Agency
- A hard stop on credits, and a free cost estimate your agent can ask for before any paid call
- Domain Overview withholds its verdict when the data is thin, instead of guessing
